And now I'm focusing on a subject regarding more relevancy, that is, The Hunger Games. It's a definite page turner, dabbed with ardent moments filled to the brim with intensity. Suzanne Collins has created a phenomenal projected trilogy, and this is stimulated by our lovely heroin, Katniss Everdeen. Living under the poorest conditions in her impecunious district, Katniss has been spending years gallivanting through thick forests almost every day of her life with best friend Gale. Both of them have been relying on the vegetation of her district to obtain provisions for her family as well as the people of District Twelve. And if you're still learning the ropes, I can give you a brief introduction.
North America is now Panem and The Capitol calls the shots. It is surrounded by twelve poorer districts (Formerly thirteen). The Capitol acts as a government and they gain their supplies of everything from them. It's a nightmare world for these twelve districts, all its residents basically terrified by the yearly highlight they must endure. This particular event, called The Hunger Games, requires every district to contribute two young people to participate in the Games. This two people, a girl and a boy, ages 12-18, are randomly chosen through The Reaping, a desolating time where all families have to hold their breath and have their hands wrapped around each other. After this painful moment, two families will be knocked to their knees in depression while hundreds of others will celebrate in happiness, knowing their kids will be safe for another 365 days. The chosen ones are called tributes, and all 24 tributes will be sent into the arena, a heinous place where they will have to fight to the death for the following weeks to come, and have their skills aid them in survival. Katniss's sister, Prim, has her name drawn out of The Reaping, but Katniss volunteers for her little weakling of a sister. And that's the first time she shook hands with trouble.
The Hunger Games also features love triangles similar to that of Twilight. But there are differences here and there that shapes Hunger Games to be much more realistic than Twilight. Hunger Games features several situations where Katniss is desperately trying to save Gale, who is threatened to be killed by the evil President Snow who stinks blood. Katniss is still in the midst of recuperating after being mentally challenged in that arena, but now her face muscles is once again responsible of barricading secrets. Says so in the second book. She's caught between two young men in which she is trying to secure both within the arms of safety. In other words, she's fighting her ass off, inciting rebellions, enduring gashes and constantly being smeared in blood.
This all takes place, while Bella is arm in arm with her sparkling boyfriend.
In all rounds, Hunger Games merges victorious! That's it for now, till my next post!

PS: I'm sorry if I offend any Twilight fans. But it sucks, just seriously. I'm sorry.
